Novel Nanodiamonds for Nanosensing and Quantum Computing
Category: Mechanical/Materials
Developers: North Carolina State University, Centennial Campus, Raleigh, NC 27695-7907
Co-Developers: Q-Carbon, LLC 1531 East Main Street, Mebane, NC 27302
United States
Product Description:We produce Nanodiamonds (5-10nm) and Diamond Nanofibers doped with nitrogen-vacancy (NV) and silicon-vacancy (SiV) color centers for qubit quantum computing and nanosensing. This is achieved by direct conversion of carbon into diamond in less than a microsecond at ambient temperature and pressure in air by using high-power nanosecond laser pulses
