ScanIP and ScanFE

ScanIP and ScanFE computer-modeling and analysis software products enable users to process 3-D scans into numerical (finite element) models, and allows conversion of any 3-D dataset, such as an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan, into meshes in minutes. ScanIP provides image visualization and processing and exports files to other manufacturing software programs. ScanFE is a mesh-generation module that creates volumetric meshes, which subsequently can be exported directly to FE and CFD commercial solvers. Applications include micro and nanostructural analysis of composites, assessment of medical devices such as hip replacements; modeling of biological tissue; and simulation of physiological fluid flows including airflow in tracheotomies.
