50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s flight / ESA TV Exchanges / 08-04-2011
It’s now 50 years since a man orbited the earth for the first time.
This historical space flight of Yuri Gagarin took place on 12 April 1961 and started the conquest of a new frontier.
This video recalls this adventure with witnesses from this era, among them Elena Gagarina, daughter of the famous Cosmonaut, Alexei Leonov, the first man to walk in space and an engineer from these times.
