IDC has announced that the 57th HPC User Forum, taking place in Broomfield, CO, from September 8-10, 2015, will include a major session on new return on investment (ROI) with high performance computing (HPC) data.
IDC reports that it now has over 325 ROI examples that generated either financial ROI or innovation ROI with HPC. The financial ROI from HPC in revenues generated per dollar invested in HPC was an amazing $515 in the new study. The job creation ROI in the study also was strong. IDC will present the new data, results and provide the full data set to all attendees.
Other major sessions on the agenda for the 57th meeting will look at weather/climate change, high performance data analysis (HPDA)/big data, energy efficiency, the new National Strategic Computing Initiative (NSCI), emerging HPC technologies and high performance storage. Top experts will speak on these high-innovation, high-growth areas of the HPC market. Attendees also will hear about government initiatives to get ready for future-generation supercomputers, and a disruptive technologies panel will examine technology that could change the HPC industry.
This meeting’s sponsors include Altair, AMD, Bright Computing, Engility, HP, Intel, Mellanox, Panasas, and SUSE.
