The Monowave 50 Synthesis Reactor developed by Anton Paar GmbH is a modern, easy-to-use (“plug & play”) and ultra-compact conventionally heated reactor for synthesis applications performed under sealed vessel conditions, i.e., high temperatures and pressures.
The instrument, which won a 2016 R&D 100 Award, is operated with a 10 milliliters borosilicate glass reaction vial and manually closed by a cavity cover that includes an integrated and active pressure sensor. An efficient magnetic stirring device is built in to ensure efficient agitation of reaction mixtures, while an integrated contact sensor for temperature monitoring accurately monitors and controls the progress of experiments. Automatic cooling of the reaction vials is achieved via an integrated heat exchanger.
Each year for more than 50 years, R&D Magazine has honored the 100 best innovations in research and development. We are currently accepting applications for the 2017 R&D 100 Awards. Innovators with an exceptional product developed between January 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017 should apply. Submissions close April 14, 2017
