AlphaServer SC Series systems are terascale, single-system-image supercomputers that combine the computing power and memory bandwidth of Alpha processors with the performance, scalability, and ease of use of the SC interconnect, SC single-system-image software, and SC support. The systems are designed to maintain maximum sustained application performance through maximum memory bandwidth under demanding multiprocessor loads. The series uses standard volume components with the SC interconnect and SC software to build terascale supercomputers with Alpha EV68 processors and 8 GB/s memory bandwidth per node.
