MKS Series 26 sanitary filter housings are designed for the needs of the biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical industries. The Series 26 is engineered as a modular solution with drainability and cleanability features for both gas and liquid filtration. Series 26 filter housings are available in both In-line and T-line configurations, with standard heights of 5-, 10-, 20-, and 30-in. Vent and drain options include plunger valve, 0.5-in. butt weld, and 0.5-in. ferrule. Filter connections are available in Code 0 and Code 7. For Code 7, options include both wire form retention as well as the recessed base used for final fill applications.
Standard finishes include 20Ra mechanical polish ID or 20Ra mechanical finish plus electropolishing. The OD is polished to 32Ra leaving a consistent finish and undetectable weld joints where removed. For final fill applications, there is a 15Ra plus electropolish finish on the ID which provides surface finish characteristics for final processing of product.
All internal welds are ground flush and polished to BPE requirements. All mechanically polished housings are passivated in final processing to enhance the corrosion resistant properties of the stainless steel.
