FluoView FV1000 and TIRFM Module

The FluoView FV1000 confocal microscope, with features including the SIM scanner and UIS2 optics, now includes a peerless Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence Microscopy (TIRFM) module. For TIRF image recording the microscope platform comes with the CELL^M/^R imaging system, which includes a high-sensitivity CCD camera. This module enables evanescent illumination for CCD-based thin surface layer observation, and facilitates total internal reflection of the laser illumination within the glass of the slide or vessel below the sample. Combining confocal and TIRF imaging in one system provides more comprehensive information about cellular processes by producing very clear images throughout the entire sample.
