AirCare Automation Inc. offers its VariPhase Single-Phase AC motor controllers, which are speed controllers to adjust the speed of traditional single-phase PSC motors. The Drives come in 120, 230, and 277 voltages. Several model numbers in each voltage span motor rated currents up to 20 Amperes to cover single-phase PSC needs.
The VariPhase can now be used for analog input (or manual) or network (MODBUS RTU); open-loop (Analog (0-5v) or manual control) or closed loop; and analog feedback signal of TACH feedback.
The version 7 platform has expanded the TRIAC firing angle curve into 1,000 data points providing more possibilities for the 100 point curve selection and eliminating “dead spots.” Enhanced closed loop controls provide PID control loop, and optional closed loop adjustment tools provide a more robust closed loop experience for fan control needs.
The analog input “scalable range” allows any type of feedback sensor (i.e. dual directional sensors) and still gets full input feedback range from the sensor. The VariPhase firing angles can be adjusted/customized based upon the user’s input.
