Sartoguard NF filters from Sartorius feature a combination of polyethersulfone (PES) membranes in combination with nanofiber technology. The nanofiber fleece made of polyethersulfone provides ultrafine retention of particles and other contaminants as well as high flow rates. In combination with the total throughput performance of the polyethersulfone membranes, Sartoguard NF filters provide protection of sterilizing grade and mycoplasma retentive filters for a broad range of filtration applications in the biopharmaceutical industry.
Features include a triple layer construction of nanofleece technology and heterogeneous double layer PES membrane; a combination of ultrafine particle retention with reliable membrane filtration; protection of sterilizing grade and mycoplasma retentive filters; bioburden and particle retention due to membrane filtration; sterilizable by gamma irradiatable up to 50 kGy for use in single use processing solutions; and complete scalability from R&D to process scale.
Typical applications for Sartoguard PES filters include prefiltration of cell culture media, column protection, buffers, ophthalmics, pharmaceuticals, and large volume parenterals.
